Nothando Backpackers is one of the finest in the country and makes a refreshing change to most hostels. We are upmarket with spacious rooms that have sink-in-and-get-lost fluffy duvets and are serviced daily. Our bathrooms have hand soap, hand & body lotion and towels.
Nothando has an easy-going energy; our "Farside" bar is the ideal place to relax after a hard day doing one of Plett's many adventure activities. We are centrally located and within easy walking distance to restaurants and cocktail bars. We serve excellent meals and our breakfasts, lunch packs and dinners are good value for money.
We have a travel & adventure office. Either our competent managers or ourselves are always pleased to help you with travel advice and bookings for local and distant activities.

Nothando Backpackers Lodge is a five star graded hostel. Our hostel makes a refreshing change to most hostels. It's upmarket with spacious dorms that have sink-in-and-get-lost fluffy duvets and luxurious en-suite doubles. The hostel is split over two neighbouring houses, both of which have lovely gardens and a real easy-going energy. Nothando is centrally located and close to everything including pubs, retaurants, night clubs, shops and Plettenberg Bay's famous beaches.

We serve excellent meals and our breakfasts lunch packs and dinners are all good value for money. We also have safe off-street parking. After a hard day enjoying the pleasures of Plettenberg Bay come to our Far Side bar for a relaxing sundowner or a game of pool.

We ensure backpackers of an enjoyable and beautiful stay in one of the most pristine locations in Africa.

We have a well stocked fire place bar with a pool table and television for big sporting events and so forth.

We are in the town so most things are within walking distance but we also offer a transport service to some of the adventure activities including the bungy, monkeyland and more.

Information Desk

Our well trained local staff are always on hand to answer questions, make recommendations, make reservations and make sure that your stay is a memorable one.

Safety

Nothando is in the town which is very safe. Guest’s are provided with a room key, security gate key and we offer a lock up service for belongings such as passports etc. We are on the Baz Bus route which drops travelers off at our front door.

We have a fast internet service as well as a private card phone on the property.

This practical and comfortable “family” room is ideal for small groups and families. It comes standard with television, tea & coffee station, bathroom amenities, hairdryer, warm heater and mohair blankets. It is en-suite and has a small patio garden.

Peak season rates apply from the 15 December to 15 January.
