DirectionsDirections from Cape Town via George and Knysna to Plettenberg Bay When leaving Cape Town stay and follow the N2 highway East from Cape Town towards George and Port Elizabeth. You will pass the following towns, Caledon, Riversonderend, Swellendam, Heiledberg, Riverdale, Albertinia, Mossel Bay, George, Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna. The traveling time from Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay is approx 5-6 hours traveling 120km/h. Just remember that when you go through the towns mentioned above you need to travel 60km/h otherwise you will get trapped. There are a couple of prime spots where you are lightly to get a speeding fine, just as you are coming into Caledon, Just as you are coming into Riversonderend, just as you are coming into George, as you travel down the Kaaimans Pass between George and Wilderness there are 2 cameras and you need to be going 60km/p. There is a permanent camera on your way into Plettenberg Bay and the speed there is also 60km/p. Once you arrive in George everything slows down and from there it will take you aprox 1 hour and 30min to get to Plettenberg Bay so sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery that the Garden Route has to offer. Pass the town of George and continue on to Knysna. Drive through the town and leave Knysna on the N2 highway towards Plettenberg Bay. from Knysna to Plett is 30km and this should take you 30-45min...you will drive through the Hakerville forests and you will also pass the Garden of Eden.
